Manchester - Sir Alex Ferguson akan melakukan sejumlah perubahan susunan pemain saat Manchester United menghadapi Schalke 04 di leg kedua semifinal Liga Champions. Sejumlah pemain utama akan diistirahatkan.

MU berpeluang besar menjejakkan kaki di final Liga Champions untuk ketiga kalinya dalam empat tahun terakhir. Kemenangan 2-0 atas Schalke di leg pertama membuat 'Setan Merah' cuma butuh hasil imbang di leg kedua di Old Trafford, Kamis (5/4/2011) dinihari WIB, untuk melaju ke puncak. Kalah dengan selisih satu gol pun masih menjamin tempat mereka di Wembley.

Dengan pertimbangan tersebut, Ferguson tampaknya berani untuk menyimpan sejumlah pemain utamanya seperti Wayne Rooney dan Javier Hernandez. Apalagi, mereka akan melakoni duel penting lainnya pada akhir pekan ini, yakni menjamu Chelsea dalam lanjutan Premier League.

"Saya akan membuat sejumlah perubahan pada hari Rabu, tanpa pertanyaan," kata Fergie, seperti dilansir SkySports.

"Saya akan memainkan Paul Scholes, Dimitar Berbatov, dan Michael Owen. Kami perlu untuk melakukannya, tapi mungkin saya akan tetap memainkan pemain berpengalaman di belakang," tambah manajer asal Skotlandia ini.

"Kami punya pekan yang besar. Pada hari Rabu ada semifinal leg kedua Liga Champions dan kemudian laga di hari Minggu (lawan Chelsea)," imbuhnya.

"Dua laga penting, jadi kami akan berkumpul kembali dan menyegarkan itu," pungkasnya.

Ahead of the Champions League Iniesta Back Practicing

Barcelona - Barcelona got some good news ahead of the Champions League second leg semi-final contra Real Madrid. Andres Iniesta, who missed the first meeting, has returned to training and opportunity to perform at Camp Nou.

Iniesta absent when his team won 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu. The 26-year midfielder is having problems in his calf. He also had not recovered when Barca lost 1-2 in the hands of Real Sociedad on Sunday (05/01/2011) pm dawn.

Iniesta condition continues to improve. He has rejoined his colleagues in the practice session.

"The day after defeat 1-2 of Sociedad, the first team returned to training and the big news of the session is Andres Iniesta returned to training with his colleagues," wrote Barca in a statement on his official website, as quoted by SkySports.

Iniesta is rumored to be starting the game versus Real Madrid, on Wednesday (04/05/2011) pm dawn, off the bench. However, it is enough to calm Pep Guardiola who lost several players to the game.
